Climb to the summit of Ireland's highest peak, Carrauntoohil (1,038 m), via the classic and dramatic Devil's Ladder route.Starting from Cronin's Yard, the path winds through beautiful Glen Coe-like scenery, past streams and waterfalls, before entering the steep, rocky gully known as Devil's Ladder. Ascend the loose scree and boulder field (often requiring hands for balance), then emerge onto the broad summit plateau to reach the iconic metal cross. Enjoy breathtaking 360° views across the MacGillycuddy's Reeks, the lakes of Killarney, and the Atlantic coast on a clear day. Descent follows the same route back to Cronin's Yard.This iconic Irish mountain day tests fitness and endurance while delivering unforgettable scenery and a true sense of achievement.
